Second Sunday of Advent

All are Welcome!

Sermon Questions

  • What “crooked paths” or “mountains of pride” do I need to straighten in my own life?
  • How can I be a bearer of peace and reconciliation in my home or workplace?
  • Am I preparing for Jesus’ arrival with a genuine heart-change, or am I just getting ready for Santa?
  • What “good choices” can I make this week to draw closer to God and others?

BMUMC Announcements

Can our Blaine Memorial members give to build a new kin-dom here on earth? If not our time, what talents can we give during this stewardship season?

Blessing of Stewardship Commitment Cards

We will be concluding the 2026 stewardship campaign, Grace in Action by blessing your collective stewardship commitment cards during worship. Please bring in your yellow card as you pray what you can give to Blaine Memorial UMC in 2026. There are extra cards available in the Narthex.

By bringing your commitment card, you’re participating in Blaine Memorial’s annual pledge drive, a spiritual practice where you pledge your financial support (treasure), time, and talents to God’s work. Thank you for your commitment and thank you for your communal support.

On Sunday, be sure to bring your WRAPPED Giving Tree gifts for sorting! They will be given to the students of Kimball Elementary School.

The Giving Tree Gifts are Due, 12/7!

All wrapped gifts with Kimball Elementary School Giving Tree tags must be returned by Sunday (12/7). Please return the wrapped gifts with tags to the Social Hall under or near the Giving Tree.

Questions? Please contact Terri Adolfo at locket8@gmail.com. Thank you for your ongoing generosity and support to help bless those in need in our community!

You’re invited to leave a message of peace for our community members through these Christmas cards.

Last chance! Sign Christmas Cards, today!

You’re invited to sign Christmas cards for our church members who are sick, recovering from being ill, grieving a loss of a loved one, or in a skilled facility home. The cards are in the Social Hall until Sunday (12/7).

Prayers of peace and comfort for the Grace Mandac Adriano Family

Grace Mandac Adriano, 51, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Grace is survived by her husband, Joseph Adriano and sons Caleb and Ethan. She had a love for cooking, gardening, and she loved being in the outdoors with God’s creation. Grace loved her family and friends with all her heart. She embodied a deep love for the intersection of justice and mercy. Grace’s whole professional career was about getting people housed.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Caleb and Ethan’s College Fund through Blaine Memorial UMC.

A viewing will be held at Bonney Watson Funeral Home at 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188 on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 12:00PM-8:00PM. There will be a public Celebration of Life service on Saturday, December 20 at 10:00AM at Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church. Following the Celebration of Life service, guests are invited to her burial service and a reception at Bonney Watson Funeral Home at 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188.

May Grace rest in peace and let God’s perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
