Lent Sermon Series March 9 – April 13

Posted by on Mar 6, 2014 in Church News & Events

lent

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, survivors and all the families affected by the landslide near Oso.  We will be taking a special offering this Sunday, March 30 to assist in recovery efforts.

Our six week Sermon Series is based on the book Stitches: A Handbook on Meaning, Hope and Repair by Anne Lamott. Stitches uses the metaphor of a quilt to remind us that our lives are made up of so many patches of material, not always matching…yet they are what make up our lives.  And sometimes, if we are honest, we know that those squares come from experiences of brokenness and pain, hardship and suffering; and yet, they are still a part of the quilt of our lives, and of our community. Books are available in the office.

Join us for worship this Sunday, March 30:

9:30am  Sanctuary Service (English Speaking)

10:00am  Youth Service in Kono Chapel (6th-12th, English Speaking)

11:00am  Summit Service (English Speaking)

11:00am Nichigo Service (Japanese Speaking)

11:00am Church School (Pre-K-5th grade)
