Blaine Youth Group (BYG)
The Blaine Youth Group strives to live out John Wesley’s three simple rules.
- Do no harm
- Do good to others
- Stay in love with God
We believe that young people are the light and the future of real love in this world. Our thriving youth ministry hopes to bring up young people to be confident in who they are, to enjoy the relationships they build with their BYG community, and to foster a strong connection to the Divine’s Loving presence. Our leadership team aims to nurture their potential and walk alongside youth in their journey as loving examples in this world.
Our Middle Schoolers (grades 6-8) and High Schoolers (grades 9-12) participate year round in events and activities that help our young people grow through worship, study, fellowship and service. Even during a global pandemic, the BYG finds ways to build community, serve others, and learn about God. A few recent highlights from our ministry include:
- Devotional Book fundraiser
- Virtual Night of Worship
- Game Nights
- Drive-thru Food Collections
- Virtual Easter Overnighter
- Baptism Classes
- Virtual Summer Camps
- Hybrid Graduates Celebration for high school seniors
BYG continues to meet virtually via Zoom. We gather every Sunday at 12:15 PM. Due to safety and security for our vulnerable community, we only provide access to our Zoom links privately via email. If you or someone you know would like to get connected and receive our weekly emails with updates on our events, please contact BYG Director Lynne Onishi.
