Young Adult Hike to Rattlesnake Ledge

A group of Blaine young adults and friends gathered in May for a hike at Rattlesnake Ledge by North Bend. The sun was shining and the trail was beautiful! We shared a well-deserved lunch and ice cream together after the hike! Reconciling Ministries Book Study The Reconciling team hosted a book study this past spring. We read and discussed Mihee Kim-Kort’s book “Outside the Lines: How Embracing Queerness Will Transform Your Faith”. We shared many thoughtful conversations and learned so much about faith through a queer lens.

Miriam Tong highlights her artistic talents as well as messy fingers as she and other friends from Blaine Memorial participate in Bob Ross Night!

Bob Ross Painting Night

On Saturday, April 20, the Innovation Hub hosted another Bob Ross Painting Night event! We gathered in the Social Hall and sat at tables facing a large screen where Bob Ross instructed us to paint happy little trees and treat every mistake as a happy accident. I think we truly did find the joy of painting … So much so that we’re hosted another June painting night on Friday, June 7 in the Social Hall! Join us for future Bob Ross Painting Nights for evenings of fellowship and creativity!

Lynne Onishi and Lawrence Paltep hang out in Seattle during its recent Pride weekend! Members of Blaine Memorial met at Seattle First UMC to support LGBTQI and Reconciling Ministries communities!

Pride Sunday with Reconciling Churches!

June was LGBTQIA+ Pride month! Seattle’s Pridefest took place on the last weekend of June. Blaine Memorial joined the Reconciling Ministries team worshipping with other local reconciling UM churches at Seattle First UMC.

The Young Adults at Blaine Memorial have activities to bridge long-lasting friendships!
