MATCH DAYS ARE BACK!  All food & funds received June 6-17 will earn a match from CenturyLink

Walk for Rice benefits the Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) Food Bank, which provides nutritious and culturally familiar foods like rice, tofu and fresh produce to thousands of the most vulnerable Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in our community. They also provide a wide range of services including Children, Youth, and Families (CYF) programs, support for job-seekers, citizenship and immigration services,  help for folks suffering from substance use and /or mental health disorders, and more.

Did you Know? ACRS and Blaine Memorial UMC have had close ties for many years? Long-time Blaine member, Sam Mitsui, and Herb and Bertha Tsuchiya helped to found Walk For Rice back in 1990! And for the first few years of ACRS’s existence, its offices were located at Blaine Memorial UMC!

HUNGER remains a problem in our community today…won’t you help? Join us in the fight against hunger and walk with the Blaine Team on Saturday, June 25 at Seward Park in Seattle. Bring your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and pets! Help us to raise funds and build awareness so that thousands won’t go hungry.

Please sign up to walk with the Blaine Team by contacting Amy Noji at ahnoji@gmail.com or (206) 579-2182 OR join the Blaine team directly at TEAM BLAINE
