Our Mission & Core Values

Our Mission

To help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values

  • Believe
  • Grow
  • Love
  • Serve

Believe.

We value faith as the core of our community. As followers of Jesus Christ, we acknowledge that all we are and all we have come from God our Creator, Redeemer and Comforter.

  • For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. – Ephesians 2:8
  • One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. – Matthew 4:4

Grow.

We value the journey of life transformation as evidence of our faith. As followers of Jesus Christ, we seek to grow in obedience to his person, example and teaching.

  • And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit. – 2 Corinthians 3:18
  • Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness” So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them…Genesis 1:26a, 27

Love.

We value the pursuit of loving relationships, looking to the love Jesus Christ showed for all as an example and guide. As followers of Jesus Christ, we seek to express this love as a true spirit of welcome, honoring people for who they are, while helping them to become the people God wants them to be.

  • I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. – John 13:34
  • You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. – Leviticus 19:18

Serve.

We value service as a response to and reflection of God’s nature and character. As followers of Jesus Christ, we seek to give our best efforts through an interdependent expression of the spiritual gifts and passions that God has given to every person.

  • Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.1 Corinthians 15:58
  • He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? – Micah 6:8
