The Nisei Veterans Committee (NVC) and the NVC Foundation (NVCF) invite you to join us as we welcome a panel of Muslim American and Japanese American speakers to share their experiences and lessons learned, both past and present. The panel event will be held at the Nisei Veterans Hall, 1212 South King Street in Seattle on Saturday August 5th. The event is free and open to the public.

75TH REMEMBRANCE OF ‘CAMP HARMONY’

The 75th Remembrance of Camp Harmony Committee has begun to send out invitations and recognitions for Camp Harmony internment survivors to the September 2nd event. For those who wish to attend the event, complimentary tickets can be obtained at www.thefair.com/pac. The program event will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Washington State Fairgrounds (Puyallup Fair) Coca Cola Stage, 10:00 am.
The Puyallup Fairgrounds wants to honor and remember ALL Camp Harmony Internees with the creation of a new permanent historical marker. If you or someone you know (living or deceased) was a Camp Harmony internee, please provide the committee with this information. Visit www.PuyallupValleyJACL.org to check that you and your families’ names are listed and spelled correctly.
BLAINE MEMORIAL UMC TO PROVIDE COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS AND BUS TRANSPORTATION TO CAMP HARMONY REMEMBRANCE ON SEPTEMBER 2ND. Blaine will be providing bus transportation for our members and friends from the church to the Camp Harmony Remembrance at the Washington State Fairgrounds, Coca-Cola Stage. The cost for the bus will be $35 per person. Checks can be made out to Blaine Memorial UMC. Please note Camp Harmony bus on the memo.
