Join us as we go on a  Family Friendly hike today to Twin Falls State Park, about a 1.5 mile round trip.  Need a sack lunch and lots of water.  We’ll meet in the Social Hall at 11:30 pm to caravan/carpool.  LET’S GET SOME EXERCISE!!</p>

</span></strong>Hi everyone.  On Sunday August 1, Blaine will hold a bike outing after service.  Lake Washington Boulevard will be closed that day for bicycle Sunday.  This is a perfect opportunity for you to combine a bike ride (without cars) with fellowship.  Here are the particulars of the outing:<br />

Time: 12:30 to whenever<br />
Location: Right around Mount Baker Tennis Courts<br />
What to bring: Your bike, a lunch and something to share with others<br />

Cho Shimizu is available on the 2nd Friday of each month to help reconcile Medicare Insurance or Prescription Plan issues you may have.  Higher premiums, higher cost of drugs and larger gaps may warrant a review of your existing plan.  By filling out the Prescription Drug Form (available in the church office) and sending it to the noted addresses, a review with alternatives will be made to determine if it would be to your best interest to change plans.  You can also set up an appointment with Cho by calling the church office at 206-723-1536.  Cho is one of many State Health Insurance Advisor volunteers who are providing consultation if needed.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">HOST FAMILIES NEEDED</span><br />
</strong>Have you ever thought about being a missionary to another country?  Now you can without leaving the comfort of your own community!  We are looking are looking for 15 host families for high school students from Japan this summer for 4 weeks!  Learn about a new culture while teaching a foreign student about American customs &amp; having the opportunity to witness through lifestyle evangelism!  Students arrive in Seattle on July 25th and leave on August 22nd.  They will be participating in classes and excursions during the day, and spending evenings and weekends with their host families.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact:  Chris Inaba, 206-877-3118, <a href="mailto:chris.inaba@gmail.com">chris.inaba@gmail.com</a></p>

Caring for someone with memory loss?  Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups provide a consistent and caring place for people to learn, share and gain emotional support from others who are also on a unique journey of providing care to a person with memory loss.  A free information and support group for unpaid care partners, family members and friends will be held the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30- 8:00 pm at the Mt. On July 18, after worship service, we are holding a Homecoming Potluck in the courtyard (weather permitting) and Social Hall.  We will be mailing invitation postcards to many of our Blaine family who have been “missing” from worship and/or other Blaine activities.  During fellowship time today, please stop by the postcard table to write a short note of welcome to those who may be on the printed list or to suggest others who you would like to invite to the potluck.  Many thanks for helping to keep connected with our friends.</p>

Our July and August Collection will be for Atlantic Street Center.<br />
We will collect these School Supplies:<br />
Pens, Pencils, Pink Pearl Erasers, Rulers, Pencil Pouches, Lined Paper (college and wide ruled), Markers, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Folders, Composition Books, Back Packs, Scissors Construction Paper, Glue (Elmer’s and glue sticks).<br />

</span></strong>Cho Shimizu is available on the 2nd Friday of each month to help reconcile Medicare Insurance or Prescription Plan issues you may have.  Higher premiums, higher cost of drugs and larger gaps may warrant a review of your existing plan.  By filling out the Prescription Drug Form (available in the church office) and sending it to the noted addresses, a review with alternatives will be made to determine if it would be to your best interest to change plans.  You can also set up an appointment with Cho by calling the church office at 206-723-1536.  Cho is one of many State Health Insurance Advisor volunteers who are providing consultation if needed.</p>

Have you ever thought about being a missionary to another country?  Now you can without leaving the comfort of your own community!  We are looking are looking for 15 host families for high school students from Japan this summer for 4 weeks!  Learn about a new culture while teaching a foreign student about American customs &amp; having the opportunity to witness through lifestyle evangelism!  Students arrive in Seattle on July 25th and leave on August 22nd.  They will be participating in classes and excursions during the day, and spending evenings and weekends with their host families.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact:  Chris Inaba, 206-877-3118, <a href="mailto:chris.inaba@gmail.com">chris.inaba@gmail.com</a></p>

</span></strong>Caring for someone with memory loss?  Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups provide a consistent and caring place for people to learn, share and gain emotional support from others who are also on a unique journey of providing care to a person with memory loss.  A free information and support group for unpaid care partners, family members and friends will be held the second Wednesday of each onth from 6:30- 8:00 pm at the Mt. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">JCCCW RUMMAGE SALE – JULY 10<br />
</span></strong>Start your spring cleaning now. Clean out your storage and support the Japanese Cultural Center! We are looking for donations of items to be sold at our annual Rummage Sale.  Items of special interest are: Japanese collectibles, antiques, artwork, dolls, toys, gently-used clothes, household goods, dishes, records,  and more.  Drop off your donations on July 8th (Thursday) and 9th (Friday) from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.  Interested volunteers should contact <a href="mailto:admin@jcccw.org">admin@jcccw.org</a> or call (206) 568-7114.</p>
