BLOOD DRIVE– JULY 24 also BONE MARROW/ORGAN DONATION SIGN UP WITH ED WONG 

The annual Asian-Pacific Islander Blood Drive will be on July 24, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm at Blaine Memorial.  Also today and July 11, Ed Wong will be available to help increase the Asian community knowledge of the programs, answer your questions and to request your sign up for the Bone Marrow and Organ Donation programs.  For further information, call Ed at 206 940-9339.  Reference: www.BeTheMatch.org and www.DonateLifeToday.com.

 FAMILY FRIENDLY HIKE – JULY 25  

Join us for our next fellowship event as we go on a  Family Friendly hike next Sunday, 7/25, for an easy 2-3 mile hike.  For more details, pike up a flier available on the table in the Social Hall during fellowship time.

 CPR CLASS SIGN-UP

The sign-up sheet for the CPR class on August 28, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm, will be in the Social Hall .  Elaine Dondoyano will conduct the class.  See the article in the July/August newsletter on page 6 or the posted flyer for more information.  Class is limited to 20.  Sign up today!!!

 INVITATION TO LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Blaine Memorial will have a group of people attending the Leadership Institute at the Church of the Resurrection (Adam Hamilton – pastor) outside of Kansas City on October 7 and 8th.  The theme is “Preparing for a Future with Hope”.  If you are interested in attending, see their web information http://www.cor.org/catalyst/leadership-institute-2010/

 JULY/AUGUST MONTHLY COLLECTION –ATLANTIC STREET CENTER

Our July and August Collection will be for Atlantic Street Center.  We will collect these School Supplies:  Pens, Pencils, Pink Pearl Erasers, Rulers, Pencil Pouches, Lined Paper (college and wide ruled), Markers, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Folders, Composition Books, Back Packs, Scissors Construction Paper, Glue (Elmer’s and glue sticks).  Please leave your donations in the trunk in the Narthex by August 29th.   For more information about ASC see www.atlanticstreetcenter.org.  Thank you for your continued support.  Yasu Okubo

 REV DAVE & FAMILY ARE SETTLED
