Discover joy through simplicity and generosity!  “Enough is an invitation to rediscover the Bible’s wisdom on prudent financial practices.  Find the keys to experiencing contentment, overcoming fear, and discovering joy.”  The Sunday classes will start on February 21st at 12:30 pm in the library – bring a sack lunch (or BYG Bento on 2/21).  The Monday classes will start on March 1st at 10am in the Library.  Books are available in the church office for $5.

EAT LUNCH TOGETHER – LENT AT BLAINE 2010
For Lent this year, Blaine will again observe the discipline of fasting by serving only coffee and tea for the fellowship hours following Sanctuary and Summit services.  However, for each Sunday in Lent (February 21, 28; March 7, 14, 21, 28), we are inviting all of the Blaine community to join in going to lunch at 12:15 pm following Summit.  Several leaders have volunteered to coordinate a group outing each week to a local restaurant to enjoy food, fellowship, and friendship.  If you’re interested in going to lunch with a group from Blaine, please sign up on the sign-up sheets or contact the church office at blaineoffice@yahoo.com.  You can come any week or every week.  Please just sign up so that the coordinators have an idea of how many are coming to lunch!

Today’s lunch will be at Zodiac Tea House, 808 12th Ave, near Seattle University.  Please see Daphne Yamauchi if you would like to join the group.

SUKIYAKI BENEFICIARY -  MARY’S PLACE SPECIAL EVENT FEB 28
Please join us on Sunday, February 28, as we host guests from the Church of Mary Magdalene/Mary’s Place, the only church and day shelter in Seattle for homeless women and children.  Pastor Marty Harmon and her choir members will participate in both Sanctuary and Summit services.  A luncheon will be held in the social hall following summit worship service so we can get to know our designated Sukiyaki Dinner beneficiary better.  The lunch is open to anyone who would like to attend.  Contact Pam Yorozu (206) 870-8126 or Rev Kathleen Weber, if questions or you need additional information.

NO PAPER CUPS THROUGH LENT AND BEYOND
Starting today, social hour will no longer be using paper cups.  Mugs will be available for your use.  Or better yet, think about bringing your own mug.
