ST. PETER’S EPISCOPAL BIG TAKEOUT – MAY 2
On Saturday, May 2, St. Peter’s Episcopal will hold its annual Big Takeout of Country Rib Bento or Baked Salmon, tickets are $10.00 each.  Sushi, Japanese Confectionaries, Baked Goods, Crafts available.  See posted flyer for more information.

Learn about issues of homeless and street-involved youth!
New Horizons Ministries (NHM) is a Christian, interdenominational, non-profit agency that serves Seattle’s street youth.  They are holding their training Saturday, May 9th and 16th from 8:30 am -5:00 pm.  Training topics will include Street Culture, Prostitution, Chemical Abuse, Relational Counseling, and Spiritual Formation.  They will need many more volunteers as they will be opening Street Bean Espresso, a coffee shop which will equip our youth with job skills, later this year.  Whether you are interested in volunteering with NHM or simply want to learn more about youth involved in street culture, this is a great place to start!  Registration fee is $50, and partial scholarships are available.  Contact Aaron Stroud-Romero for more information:  206.374.0866 x 107 or aaronr@nhmin.org.

2009 Tule Lake Pilgrimage – DEADLINE MAY 15
Registration forms and an information sheet are available in the church office for the July 2-5, Pilgrimage to Tule Lake.  Programs planned include tours, memorial service, cultural performances, intergenerational discussion groups and other presentations and activities to learn about the history of Tule Lake and explore its relevance to the present day.  Contact Stan Shikuma at 206-919-1465 or sktaiko1@mac.com or at www.tulelake.org

2009 MINIDOKA PILGRIMAGE – DEADLINE JUNE 10

 DO YOU HAVE TYPE 1 OR TYPE 11 DIABETES
