Learn about issues of homeless and street-involved youth!
New Horizons Ministries (NHM) is a Christian, interdenominational, non-profit agency that serves Seattleās street youth. They are holding their training Saturday, May 9th and 16th from 8:30 am -5:00 pm. Training topics will include Street Culture, Prostitution, Chemical Abuse, Relational Counseling, and Spiritual Formation. They will need many more volunteers as they will be opening Street Bean Espresso, a coffee shop which will equip your youth with job skills, later this year. Whether you are interested in volunteering with NHM or simply want to learn more about youth involved in street culture, this is a great place to start! Registration fee is $50, and partial scholarships are available. Contact Aaron Stroud-Romero for more information: 206.374.0866 x 107 or aaronr@nhmin.org.
