APRIL COLLECTION – COOKIES FOR KAIROS
It’s Cookies for Kairos time again. This ecumenical group conducts spiritual seminars twice a year at several Washington State correctional facilities. Each attendee receives a dozen “prayer over” homemade cookies each day they attend the seminar. Bring your cookie dough and bake with us in the Social Hall on Tuesday and Friday, April 21 & 24, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm; or on Wednesday, April 22, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm; and if there is interest, we will bake on Friday evening, April 24, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Recipes and special instructions are available in the church office. Please sign up so we know how many are coming. If you have any questions, please contact Marianne Tada at 425-746-2463. Thank you all for your continued participation in this worthwhile cause.
PRAYER ROOM AVAILABLE
During Lent, please visit one of three prayer rooms available for prayer: Kono Chapel, the Archives (Room 204 in the Ed Wing), or the Library. Prayer triads might want to use these spaces for group prayer. There is also space in the top floor stairwell of the Lee Center that is a good space for solo prayer. We hope you might find these places to be an oasis during the Lenten season.

NIKKEI CONFERENCE – APRIL 17th-19th
Mission to Ontario. The Apostle Paul is best known for his letters and his journeys throughout the Mediterranean region. He went to spread “the good news” and to visit the young Christian churches (to encourage and to advise). We are the Apostle Paul among Northwest Nikkei United Methodist Churches. I invite you to make this missionary journey to Ontario. Registration has begun; for more information see Kenji Onishi.
DESERT WISDOM BOOKS FOR SALE
Desert Wisdom: Sayings from the Desert Fathers by Yushi Nomura is a wonderful devotion book filled with the sayings of the Desert Fathers and beautiful art depicting the sayings. If you are interested in purchasing one of these books, they can be picked up in the church office. The books are only $10 and would make a wonderful Lenten devotion book.

ALL CHURCH WORK PARTY
What a wonderful turnout for our All Church Work Party last Sunday. Many projects were finally completed or at least almost finished. Thanks to Bill Sakaguchi, Trustees and staff for taking the lead in organizing this work day event. Many thanks everyone…we are looking quite “spiffy” for Spring.
There was one black fleece vest (Size M) found in the Narthex that can be picked up in the office.
