Dallas Willard says in his book Hearing God that “the Kingdom of God is a network of relationships.” Relationships are built on communication, both sharing and listening. Prayer is the way to communicate with God. It is key to both share with God and listen to God. How do we listen? Slow down and get quiet. How do we know what God is saying? It becomes more clear as we begin to know God’s story as given to us in scripture. The words shared by us and shared by God are sacred and powerful. What are the words that God has shared with you? What words have you shared with God?
To all who joined the prayer conversation last Sunday, thanks! As Paul told the church in Ephesus, “I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.” I echo Paul. Thanks be to God for the Blaine family!
I give thanks today for the time and space to just be – to be with God and to be with one another as we are with God.
Lord, please keep your loving arms around the girls. When they are away, we know that you are always with them. In their challenges and during their tough days, remind them to fall back on you, feel your love and ours, then move on in trust. Thanks so much, Jesus, hear our prayer.
Please be with me during this Lenten season. Help me hear your voice. Thank you for all of your blessings, especially my family. You have and will provide. Please let me remember this! Thank you.
We are so thankful for the loving and caring support of our church community!
Father, give us the strength to continue our Lenten practices beyond the season of Lent. Help us to develop within us that love and grace to carry it throughout our lives that we might grow closer to you.
Father, sometimes I feel even closer to you when I pray for those who need your healing grace. Lord, I lift up Carolyn as she leans on you for strength. Thank you, thank you for being right there alongside her every step of the way. In your Son’s name, amen.

I pray for strength, as I find it too easy to lose focus on God and let laziness and procrastination take over. Please, God, watch over me and keep me mindful of your will and your way. Watch over our family, and help us get and stay centered on you.
Lord, I pray that you help me to not try to control my life, and remind me that you are in control, allow me to listen and be still, and be patient for what I need to hear from you, Thank-you Lord, for all the gifts you have given me and help me to use them wisely and as you intended them. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!

Temptations – not the things I typically like to call attention too. The daily temptations that I most often face are: trying to do everything on my own (not being centered in God), not participating in community, and trying to control those things and people around me.
Lord, when we find ourselves in the wilderness, we know that you are always with us. We know, too, that we have angels holding us up as well. I love you with all my heart.
Please help the unemployed with all their challenges .
